I actually got to see half of Terra Prime and These are the Voyages. It looked like the story was pretty good, but it seemed like they were rushing through the whole thing, but I quess they didn't have a choice. What did you think of the end of the series?

I figured these would have been separate threads, but all's good.
Firstly, Terra Prime: It made a good Star Trek story. Some might think it was rather dull, but it was nice to have the violence cut down a little so we could focus on the story (although, with some slight inconsistancies). Oh, and the acting was WONDERFUL! Especially from Conner (Trip). I hate to admit it, but he almost had me in tears! T'Pol did a fine job. Travis is at least getting better in his acting, but still needs work.
Now, These are the voyages...: I can understand why some die-hard enterprise fans would find this finale offensive, but being a TNG fan, I enjoyed it. The CGI Enterprise-D looked good I thought, but they've changed the look of it in warp speed. Still looked cool, I suppose -- but a little odd. I loved seeing the TNG sets. Acting again was great, but since the episode was taken from Riker's view, it was difficult to see the interaction between the nx-01 crew.
Given the circumstances, I think "These Are the Voyages..." was a good way to wrap up the series. I would hope that the development of the characters would have been better had the series been allowed to continue -- this ep just showed everyone doing the same thing they've been doing for 10 yrs.
I'll stop talking now. I'm getting long-winded.

They killed off my favorite character -- Trip. I enjoyed his Southern charm. If they ever are so bold as to make a movie, it won't be the same without Trip.

I think Trip had to be one of my favorite Characters, and they killed him off.... it was Data all over again
