They relied too much on their spectacular special effects and whatnot and not enough on acting and storytelling.

Okay, I thought 1,2,and 3 were better than 4,5,6. Really I love all 6 installments but i really like seeing the classic characters from the beggining. I understand what Aedilus is saying about relying on the effects but i thought the story was good as well. I really like seeing Anakin evolve into Vader. That was the best part of the movies for me. Of course i could have gone without seeing episode I. All and all though seeing the saga from the begining was great.

Sorry. 1, 2, and 3 were a huge let down for me. At least I understand how all the Jedi Knights died now and only Yoda survived. But they just didn't have the same *kick* that 4, 5, and 6 had. It's no wonder that 7, 8, and 9 will never be made. However, I understand from another forum that the books are quite good.
